The Scottish Rite Center is located at 1547 Lakeside Drive in Oakland.

Directions when coming from north or east of Oakland; or from San Francisco:

From Highway 980 West in Oakland, take the 18th Street exit. Drive parallel to the highway, until you get to 14th Street (also called International Drive). Turn left onto 14th Street. Take 14th Street to Lakeside Drive. Turn left onto Lakeside Drive. The Scottish Rite center is on the left, at Lakeside and 17th Street.

Directions when coming from south of Oakland:

From Highway 880 North in Oakland, take the Oak Street exit. Turn right onto Oak Street. Oak Street turns into Lakeside Drive. Continue on Lakeside Drive. The Scottish Rite center is on the left, at Lakeside and 17th Street.

Parking: There is ample street parking along the lake. Additionally, there is limited free parking in the parking lot behind the theater. To get to the parking lot from Lakeside Drive, pass the Scottish Rite Center. Travel along the lake for one extra block. After Lakeside Drive bends to the left, turn left onto Madison. Cross 17th Street. The parking lot is about 1/2 block past 17th Street, on the left.

Additionally, there are two paid parking lots on Madison street within two blocks of the theater, and others parking lots in the area. Click here for a detailed map of the locations of those parking lots.

Public Transportation: The Lake Merritt BART station is walking distance from the theater. From the BART station, walk up Oak Street about six blocks to the Scottish Rite Center.
